I'm working on my New Year's cards today. Sick, I know. But that holiday train is coming fast! In the past few years, I've been making a card and then copying it at Kinko's. (Except for last year when I bought Unicef cards - at least they're for a cause, right?) I like having a handmade look, but it's more practical for me to make one labor-intensive card than to make 50 cards by hand.
This year, I decided to make photo cards at Paper Wishes Online. I made my little beaded 2008, then took a pic and uploaded it into a pre-made template. The template I chose looks like a scrapbooky, layered card that I'd make myself. I love it!
I like sending holiday cards to my business contacts because it feels like a nice way to touch base and say "thank you for your business" and "I wish you well" and that sort of thing. Of course, it goes without saying that I love receiving cards, too. Maybe that's why I make such an effort to send them each year. Do you think it's important to send cards? Do e-cards count?
Stay tuned for more holiday fun on Ornament Thursday this week. Candie Cooper and I will be dishing up ornament ideas for the next few weeks. If you want to join our virtual craft night, just blog about handmade ornaments on Thursday and let me know so I can link to your post!
